Oh my god! Thank you! Thank you! Based on your recommendations I clicked on your
"here" button and eventually ended up at the below url. Then downloaded the zip file
and bingo the freaking thing got completely repaired. It ripped the shit out of the
Media Center and unregistered and then re-registered the whole freaking mess. I thought
to myself when I watched the batch file run "Oh shit this thing will never work again."
but it did. Peter is a genius and so are you for pointing me to him. No longer does
the media center error keep popping up... oh this thing generates a text file with
all the stuff it tried and had success or failure and it appears that you can send
the text file to Peter for further interpretation if needed. You just can't buy
this type of help.. well maybe you can at Microsoft for $200 bucks an hour.
Thanks "Windows Annoyances" I love you.. and I love the person who posted this fix,
but cannot see your name now.. so I will post and then look for the name of the poster
and send a personal thank you.

MceRepair 0.2

I've posted an update to MceRepair at http://www.pegasi.com/MceRepair_0.2.zip, which
adds additional error logging in case of problems. If you tried 0.1 and it failed,
0.2 may work for you. If not, at least you will have more complete information with
which I can debug it. [;
