i tried to uninstall IE8 from the add/remove programs icon in control panel of XP/home.
the process was interrupted with the msg: "can not copy file: please specify the
folder below or where the: System/Windows/NT Uninstall folder is located or where
you want to specify it." i clicked on the browse button to see if i could find the
folder it wanted to access, but could not/or it did not exist.
i cannot reinstall IE7 without getting a msg: you must uninstall an IE upgrade that
is currently installed on your computer before you can install IE7." so i am stuck,
and IE8 does NOT run. i suspect it may have to do with my latest ver. of mozilla
firefox and the microsoft .NET framework that is installed on my PC. my PC otherwise
runs fine.
