Recently, dmdadmin.exe has been appearing in Task Manager all the time. According to the only relevant information I could find, it should run only when partioning or some other disk confiugration process requires it. I have no such operation in progress and have not had one for a long time. Google produces countless references to dmadmin.exe, mostly in the process of a sales pitch and none from a source I would risk touching with a longer than usual barge pole. My attempts to locate some sensible and relevant information at Microsoft so far have met with a singular lack of success. This does not appear to be a critical, or even serious, issue but is a damned niggle and I would like to find a solution if possible to save a few KB of resources. Answers please on a stamped addressed postc ... er, oh, sorry -- that's the wrong thing here -- just some informed information, please: no off-the-wall suppositions.
