(2 messages posted) Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I ended up making a few changes that ultimately fixed the problem. I noticed that one of my hard drives was not always showing up when I turned on my computer. I opened up the case and found the power cord to the disk was loose which most definitely was a issue. I secured it and everything started working better. I also bought a battery backup and plugged my computer / monitor into it (before I realized the power cord was loose). I live in a apartment and I believe the power is a little flakey, though I don't think this had anything to do with the problem at hand. Thanks again for the help!
