The whole problem is that the check box is greyed out. If I go to File types tab and chose program, the check box is not greyed out. But when I tick the box, and return to the files to be opened, it is as before. I have been informed that the check box is greyed out as a protection against unauthorised alteration of file types, and on entering the registry and altering a value from 1 to 0, the protection is removed. And the check box is no longer greyed out. Has anyone any information on this?
