Signal strength is exactly what it says - how much signal is your PC getting from
the wifi device you are trying to talk to.
Connectivity is what happens (if you are lucky) as a result of receiving the above
signal. It means that your PC and the wifi device are successfull in talking to each
other.
Just to illustrate, with an excellent signal your PC might still not be able to communicate
with wifi device because you have the wrong security key: signal strong, connectivity
nil.
Of course if you have no signal strength you cannot have any connectivity.
Or, in human conversation terms:
Signal strength: can I hear you ?
Connectivity: can I understand you ?
This was clear to me when I wrote it -- hope it is to you when you read it !
