It would be (clear) but for the fact that the "signal strength" icon doesn't indicate
ANY of these ("low", "good", "very good", "excellent") until doing a handshake and
announcing "You are now connected"!!
So...I am "connected" but have no "connectivity"...???? What thu...?!
[put another way, signal strength = "NONE" until connected -- so it's not just measuring
the ambient signal as you'd hold]
Still not gettin' it. :(
