Quoting one of your answers: "Of course, if you are in the habit of clicking on Winkey-L
when you walk away from your computer, that's the lock command and you will be presented
with the logon/welcome screen when you try to use the computer again." But when I
touch the mouse while the computer is in windows-L locked state, it moves but I get
a blue screen instead of the Welcome screen with my username. I am forced to reboot,
and the Welcome screen appears, no problem. Everything else works well, computer
has been scanned for virus, etc with Norton, MBAM, Stubware, HijackThis, SuperSpyware
and others. Same thing on another computer, but it's on a domain, so after getting
blank screen after logging in, can use ctl-alt-del to get to task manager, and use
file/new task/explore to get desktop. This happened to both computers after windows
automatic update during week of Oct 12. Have checked and verified userinit, user32.dll,
winlogon.exe, etc. Ideas?
