Can't reinstall windows xp Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 8:57 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by kait (70 messages posted) I had some problems with my computer, so I attempted to do a repair install of Windows XP. It got as far as going to safe mode to finish the process, but said that the program couldn't run in safe mode. I tried running it again, but it just goes to safe mode and then gives the message: "the system is not fully installed. Please run setup again." Every time I try to reinstall, it goes through the same procedure without letting me choose to try reinstalling again. It just goes to safe mode and gives me that message. How do I go back to setup?
