You also should understand that is unlikely that someone "hacked" your computer.
More likely is that you invited some malware to implant itself through your actions,
which may include visiting risky web sites, or downloading virus infected files from
risky web sites. Don't even hook up to the internet without a firewall, a good anti-virus
program, good spyware scanners, AND a solid backup and restore plan. And to be effective,
you must actually use those tools on a regular basis.
