7 years is a long time for a computer, especially a laptop it may just be going out 
on you. Try connecting to another network, a wifi hotspot if you have to and see 
if it works there. If it still fails you can try deleting all your wireless connections, 
uninstalling the card then letting it reinstall to see if that solves it.
