Sometimes a repair doesn't work if a corrputed registry entry, and sometimes a rogue entry is loaded back into the system. In that case, only a new install of Windows has to be done. Just my experience... The only possible fix sometimes is system restore to a time when it worked correctly, if you can still go back that far. Also try it in safe mode and see if you can read them.
