Worth pulling out the cable between the monitor and the PC both ends and carefully re-inserting it. Otherwise its a new monitor :-( I would still try your monitor on another PC if you can - that would confirm things before you spend money. PS A late thought - if you have the manual for your monitor (or can look it up on the internet) you might find there's a button on the front you can use to reset all its settings - it is just possible I suppose that you have managed to turn its brightness right down ?
