Control Panel link in start menu no longer opens Control Panel Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11:43 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Lakeman (133 messages posted) All of a sudden selecting the Control Panel link in the start menu no longer opens the Control Panel. If I right click on that link, I get a menu of Open and Explore . Selecting Open does nothing. Selecting Explore opens the Control Panel. How do I restore the left click on the Control Panel link to open the control pane?
