Outlook Express Annoyances Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 6:36 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by DREW (5 messages posted) I have noticed a couple of small items in Outlook Express. First, if we go Tools>Options> Read, you will notice the following: "Show tooltips in the message list for clipped items." Regardless of what is checked, the same behavior occurs. That is, a tool tip may be viewed by hovering over the message, regardless of whether or not the header is clipped in the preview pane. Secondly, on the same dialog box, you will notice the following: "Automatically download message when viewing in the preview pane." For my e-mail, the message is always downloaded regardless of what is checked in the box. Anyone else noticed these quirks and have an explanation? Thanks!
