Thanks, yes indeed, I'm trying to get WinXP to *start* a custom program after reviving
from standby.

What I'm trying to achieve is a 'call home' program. Recently my sister's laptop
was stolen, which was an unpleasant and expensive lesson, and I would like to install
something that automatically reports the whereabouts (well, IP address) of the laptop
every time it's started up or turned back on from standby.

Then if the machine is stolen, and the thief is so friendly to press the power button,
I just might be getting his/her IP.
