How to stop windows from trying to reconnect my network drives on logon Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:46 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by sportflyer (23 messages posted) Each time I log on by clicking on my icon, windows starts to try and reconnect my network drives and it takes about 15 seconds. To reduce this time I have been using alt+F4 to terminate the process. I only have 2 network drives a) my printer b) C# on my other computer . Both are normally powered off until I need to use them. Is there somewhere I can reduce the timeout or stop the process from ever starting short of disconnecting the Map drives?
