Thank you all, but this problem is nothing to do with size of the disk. The programs
are taking up exactly the same amount of room as for the last 6 months. the space
used for virtual memory, system restore has all been allowed for. When no operation
but showing desktop, the freespace is disappearing gradually. Yes if I want to add
more programs on C:\, but I don't as I have D:\.
, E:\ and F:\. Not only that to increase space on C:\, I have in the last days transferred
programs from C:\ to D:\, but the freespace on C:\ is still steadily decreasing.
Size of Partitions--C:\ 9GB. D:\ and E:\ and F:\ 150GB. Total size of HD 160GB.
C:\ only holds operating system plus programs connected to XP.
