I have had the same setup for several months, the same programs and only now has this
problem occurred. The problem started to occur when there was 950MB freespace on
the C:\ of 9GB. That is 10%. According to Microsoft 200MB freespace is the minimum
to ensure all services on XP regardless of the size of the drive. And that rapidly
decreased even though I recently freed an additional 700MB. Thank you all for your
help. Speaking to a friend of mine who works at Intel Kiriyat Gat, it is caused
by a virus. And as I said there are similar cases recorded on google search.
