The "missing Systray icons" is caused by a timing issue with "explorer.exe" and
other applications/services when XP starts up. all that is required is a restart
of explorer.exe after xp is up - which a logoff/on does of course.
A permanent "work-around" is to put two commands in "autoexec.bat" to stop and start
"explorer.exe" later in XP startup. See my post here:
