Please can you elaborate on "I cannot access the Device Manager" ? I ask because there are many possible causes and we need to narrow down the possibilities. How are you trying to access DM, and exactly what happens when you do ? Meantime malware often causes this, so I'd run full scans with both Malwarebytes and SuperAntispyware anyway. Both are free and reasonably aggressive. PS what happens if you try Start . . . Run and type devmgmt.msc ?
