Hi,
I had exacxtly the same problem on a XP NTFS computer , i solved it as follow:
- i ran an anti-virus (6 viruses found) from "safe mode" (not networking), but i
had the same error message (0x80090006).
- none of the above suggestion worked, only "restore my computer to an earlier time"
worked!
I ran it from "safe made" (not with networking option).
Hope this help,
A.
