There are two ways to save a powerpoint file as a ppt which is a presentation and a pps which is a show. You can't print shows but you can open them with powerpoint and print them from there. I hope there isn't any confusion here you talk about powerpoint then you talk about saving the link as a doc? docs are Word files.
