This is the typical Microsoft insidious disease, they think nothing through to the
end and so it screws up our computers and they are bullet proof.
I have over the years, on line, upgraded my Windows XP home from the original version
2001. Everything was fine until I made the mistake of down loading SP3 but I did
create a restore point just in case. Well, SP3 was a mistake and I went back to my
restore point. This is when Windows Installer reared its ugly Microsoft head and
somehow after restore eliminated a file named “fax.msi” and ever since then my CPU
has been so screwed up. I cannot find this file on my CPU or on any other XP sotware
yet every time I try to install a new piece of software this same “fax.msi” missing
file prevents me from doing so. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Windows
Installer as per their directions but as usual they suck at actually fixing a problem
that they created.
I hate Microsoft with a passion.
