I have a question about Remove the Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant (ClickOnce) Firefox Extension:

The instructions as given don't work 100%, as there is nothing to remove when doing "about:config" in Firefox. I found that Windows was still auto-updating to grab everything again when Firefox 3.6 was installed and after doing everything. I realize that the 1.0 .NET Framework could not install on my work PC running Firefox 3.5.8, so I installed 3.5 on the home PC. Google it and you can find the download page for the old Firefox versions. So far so good with both older versions. I think that Firefox 3.5 will be supported until August 2010. Hopefully new versions of Firefox will figure out how to block all "sneaky" add-ons from being installed, otherwise people will start using it less.
