Question about 'Why can't I get the Direct-Cable Connection to work?' Thursday, November 15, 2001 at 10:04 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Dina (3 messages posted) I have a question about Why can't I get the Direct-Cable Connection to work?: I cannot seem to get my laptop with ME and my PC with XP to share folders. I get the connection going (direct cable) with my laptop as the host. I need to retrieve schoolwork from it, and burn it onto CD's. I have My Docs and C drive set up to share with full access to no avail. The folders do not show up on my PC. Has anyone out there encountered this problem? Does anyone have any idea on how to rectify it?
