Question about 'How do I use the built-in CD burning in Windows XP?'

I followed the advice to the letter...and xp would not permit the drivers to load because "they might create instability...". I've got a SONY PCV-RX550 with built in cd-rw, and I'm getting very fed up with xp promises. I have also downloaded and tried a couple of so called addons such as Ravissent. And Ive tried updateing Roxio 5 Platinum; with with bad results. Does amyone really know how to record mp3 files to cd?
