XP sharing as a client to 2000 Thursday, January 17, 2002 at 9:27 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Tony (2 messages posted) I am trying to set up two computers to share a single wireless internet connection that currently exists on a Windows 2000 Machine. I have the correct cabling and have taken all the necessary steps, but it appears that XP does not want to act as a client to a 2000 machine. I cannot upgrade the 2000 unit to XP, I cannot move the internet connection to the XP unit, I simply need the XP unit to share the internet connection of the 2000 machine through the network that I have set up.
