I am trying to add a windows xp computer to my network. I have a peer to peer network with 2 computers running windows 98 and windows me. Each computer has a network card and are attached to a hub. A cable modem is plugged into the hub. Each computer has an IP assigned by ATT. I have TCIP and IPX/SPX installed. I only have file sharing bound to IPX/SPX. Everything between these computers is fine. They can independently connect to the internet and can share files and printers. When I tried to connect an xp computer the same way, all I can manage to get is to have the windows 98 computer 'see' xp on the network, but can't share files. The xp computer is able to connect independently to the net, so I know the NIC is working. To the best of my knowledge, the xp computer is configured the same way as the other two. Any tips would be appreciated.
