Friday, May 17, 2002 at 1:12 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by ohlord (3 messages posted) I have a question about Do I still need CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT?: They Said That: CONFIG.SYS file (left over from previous versions of Windows) include a myriad of parameters like Files=50, Buffers=20. These file aren't used at all in Windows XP, and can be safely deleted. If so How can I Increase Files=50 to Files=200 if I wanted to in Windows XP. Coz it won't work in Config.Sys at all.
