I have a question about Connect
to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network:
I have a WinXP system and a Win98 system. They are networked together and everything
works fine, except the printing. We can share files and the internet connection.
The printer, a Brother MFC-7300C, is connected to the WinXP computer and it works
fine there. But when the Win98 computer sends a file to print, it will not print.
We can open the Printer from the control panel on the WinXP and see the file in the
printer trying to print. So I guess that means the file makes it to the XP computer.
But under status it says "Error- Printing". The Win98 system thinks its file has
printed. But the file will sit on the Printer until it is canceled on the WinXP computer.
Unless the file is canceled the XP system can't print anything. The printer is shared
correctly (I think) because we were able to set it up on the Win98 machine, it shows
up there. But it just won't print. Any suggestions on this one?
