I have a question about Dealing with Windows's Advanced Power Management (APM):

I have a problem with my Advanced Power Management. It is freezing my pc. From what I can see, something is trying to write to illegal addresses on my hardrive which causes my pc to freeze. I managed to get someone to replace the Advanced power management for the standard power management. I have reinstalled and once again the problem has reoccured. Can someone make any suggestions to what is going or can tell me how to replace the advanced power management for the standard power management. I would be grateful for any help on this. thanks Dawn
