I have a question about Getting
Network Neighborhood to recognize newly attached computers:
I'm trying to connect a desktop directly to a laptop. They're both running Windows
XP but they say that the cable's unplugged. I changed the cable thinking it may have
been bad, but it still doesn't work. I have run through the networking wizard a couple
of times and have tried uninstalling the original network setups (the desktop used
to run Windows Me, but since we upgraded to XP home, the network connection doesn't
work). Can anybody please help with this? I appreciate any help that anyone can give
on this. thank you
