Question about 'Force Office 2000 to Open All Documents in the Same Window'

I have a question about Force Office 2000 to Open All Documents in the Same Window:

My QUESTION is: can MS Works 6 (stand-alone version of Works Suite 2001) be forced to a multiple-document interface (MDI), i.e. having different documents shown as pages in the same Works window?

I have always preferred to use Works, instead of Office, since buying Works 2 for DOS in January 1990. (For younger readers, that DOS non-graphical program was a tour de force in which 8 pages of any kind could be open simultaneously.)

But the single-document interface (SDI) of Works 6 is so bad that I switched back to Works 4.5 (1997), which has the same MDI as every previous version of Works.

I would move forward to Works 6 again if we could change its interface to MDI. Does anyone know about this?

Note that Works (through 4.5) is loaded as a SINGLE program, whose pages can be a mixture of database, spreadsheet and word-processor. That is more integrated than the MS Office suite.

It was a pleasure to read, in "Windows XP in a Nutshell" (O'Reilly 2002), about the MDI-SDI problem and the possibility of opening Office documents in the same window and to see a reference to this website.
