My problem is that the magic packet is sent sucessfully when I manually put the computer in hibernate mode, but when i shutdown the computer from start menu, it will not work. Is it because my BIOS only works for wake on LAN when the computer is in shutdown state 3? I want it to be able to turn on when i shut down the computer. (soft shutdown) Is there any configurations that i can do to Windows XP to hibernate when I choose the shutdown option?
