Question about 'Stop Windows from saving the thumbnail cache (THUMBS.DB)' Double negative?

I have a question about Stop Windows from saving the thumbnail cache (THUMBS.DB):

Is it possible that we have a double negative here? I have read and re-read the article and feel the advice is the opposite of what is intended. It depends what is meant by "turned off" but I guess that the "Do not cache thumbnails" option in Explorer should be checked - which to me is "turned on". However for clarity I feel that it might be as well to talk about checked or unchecked rather than on and off. If I have misunderstood something I apologise - Doug
