Question about 'Run a Shortcut from the Command Prompt' Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at 6:58 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Chris (Hunt) (3 messages posted) I have a question about Run a Shortcut from the Command Prompt: Does this work with windows XP? I can't launch a lnk from within a batch file - I just get a command prompt window opening up. I've tried with and without the .exe and with and without including .exe i the name of the shortcut.
