I have used option 2 to disable the windows installer from my Windows XP Pro system with Office XP. I now still get the installer window popping up when I start Word, but the window clears itself and Word loads OK. The only issue I have now is when I try to open a Word document from outside Word by double clicking it. Word loads (showing the installer window) but does not load the selected document. Loading the document from within Word works fine, however. Does anyone know how to get the automatic loading of a Word document working again? This problem only occurs with newly created users, not on my original user name where everything still works fine. Thanks
