I have a question about What do I do if my BIOS is causing a problem with Windows?:

When I turn on my laptop, it just shows the openening bios or intel or whatever it is logo and then doesnt do anything else. It says I can press 2 keys - F1 and F9 to go into some bios screen, which barely ever works cause it keeps stopping. Sometimes I can turn it on though (like now). Im running W-XP on a laptop, it occasionally overheats and turns off and im guessing this might have something to do with it. any help?
