I have a question about How
do I use the built-in CD burning in Windows XP?:
Greetings. I am running Windows XP Home Edition on a Gateway computer with
Pentium IV. Recently, I reinstalled Windows from the original disks that came with
my computer. Everything seems fine except that when I try to move files to a blank
CD, the CD Writing Wizard that used to appear no longer appears, and I get an error
message saying "D:\ is not accessible Incorrect Function". I have the basic Roxio
Easy CD Creator software that also came with the computer, but I don't like this
program. It's only an introductory version, so it's clumsy, slow, and doesn't actually
seem to work very well. I used to use the CD Writing Wizard a lot for putting photos
on disks, which is what I'm trying to do now. The Wizard used to work great for
this. Now, though, it seems to be gone entirely. I have tried to reload data from
the System Disks, and nothing seems to help. Gateway told me they don't know what
I'm talking about, and I can't find any way of sending an email to Microsoft. I
tried their Newsgroups thing, but the only answer I got didn't help. Any advice
or assistance anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly.
