Question about 'How do I make the background of desktop icon text transparent?'

I have wallpaper -- four bears fishing for salmon -- on my desktop and the classical style, as opposed to that horrid xp stuff, for the start menu and taskbar. How do I get a transparent icon text and not revert to that blue and green nonsense?
