re: Clear Unwanted Entries from the Start Menu's Run Command - Try these 2 simple 
soultions...

1. Right Click on the Task Bar - select: Properties and the Start Menu tab.
 - select: Customize and Clear

2. Right Click on the Internet Explorer icon on the Desktop - select: Properties
 - select Clear History, Yes and OK - then reboot; the Run list will be clear.
