I have a comment about Force
Outlook XP to allow EXE file attachments:

In Windows XP, you can achieve the same effect via another mechanism. Go into Windows Explorer, and choose Tools -> Options and go to the "File Types" tab. Scroll down to .DOC (or whatever extension you want to customize) and click on the "Advanced" button near bottom of the options pane. You'll have a small "Edit File Type" window pop up and one of the options at the bottom will be "Confirm Open after Download". If you remove the check/tick mark from that box, you'll be able to open .DOC documents in Outlook and Outlook Express. This doesn't work for .EXE files! But it does work for the other extensions. As an ex-IT manager, I'd never encourage people to open up the sending/receiving of .EXE files except in a one-off temporary situation, it's like walking around with a gun in your pocket without the safety on! -- Brian
