I have a question about Things that slow down system bootup:

I have just upgraded to a P4 2.6 with 1gb ram but system takes about 1min 45 secs to get to start up screen. Nothing is loaded, new xp install, this is the reason I upgraded. only a floppy and CDR installed. Can a faulty floppy or power supply cause this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated, I didn't mention that I kept the same case thats why ?? power supply. Thanks, Dan
