Some of you may have followed the advice given in the previous posts and been left
with orphaned entries in Add/Remove Programs, and haven't been able to delete them.
Here's the second step involved if this is you case.
Open the registry editor by selecting Start->Run.
type 'regedit.exe' (without quotes) into the text box.
Navigate to the key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products
under this key you will see a number of 'long numbered' keys. Look inside each one
for the string value 'ProductName' if it contains the name of the entry you wish
to remove simply delete the 'long numbered' key you found it in.
E.g. You wish to remove the entry for 'Foo v1.1' in Add/Remove programs. You found
the entry for it in:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\0B79C053C7D38EE4AB9A00CB3B5D2472
Simply delete this key, exit the registry editor, and confirm that the entry has
been removed from the list under Add/Remove programs.
