I have a comment about Disable
the Insert key in Word (disable INS & OVR mode):
Although the stated solution for "Overtype" or "Mistake" mode does work, there is
an easier one. Instead of reassigning the Insert key, it takes away the Overtype
assignment altogether.
1. Right-click on the toolbar and select Customize from the context menu.
2. Click the Keyboard button.
3. Scroll down and select All Commands in the left list.
4. Scroll down the right list and select Overtype.
5. Select Insert in the Shortcut Key list.
6. Click Remove.
7. Click OK.
It'll never, ever come back. Thank god!
