Question about 'Use Dial-Up Networking over a LAN' Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 5:18 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by tom (3 messages posted) I have 2 pcs (2000 server, xp client) linked with a crossover cable , they can both share files fine but i cant get ics to work, i have set it up as described in teh article and so i connect to my dialup with the 2000 pc adn start iexplorer on my xp laptop, but it just searches for a dialup connection rather than looking for a network way through, even though i have "never dial a connection" checked in internet options. i would appreciate any help, thanks. ps i have tried all of the aformentioned options in internet options.
