Uninstalling xp

Does anyone have any idea how I can uninstall xp? After having installed it and
seen nearly ALL of my software not compatible with xp, I earnestly believe that a
raging bonfire is the only good place left for that OS. Microsoft's tech-line was
as "helpful" as usual.
(Side note, if I ever manage to get it uninstalled, I'll have a keg at the bonfire,
everyone's welcome.)

I recently intalled XP and love it, but everyone has his or her ideas on what an
OS should do.
To uninstall, I would boot from a floppy disk first. If you need to, change your
BIOS setting to boot only from a disk. You should have a floppy around to boot or
you may use an older version of Windows. Next, go to to the directory where XP is
intalled and delete all files, then install the OS you want.
Or you can simply refomat the drive and reinstall, but you will lose all data.
Hope that helps

I think I saw an uninstall option when I first popped the disk in to install it.
Have you tried that?

If your WinXP was an upgrade and you didn't change the file system of your hard drive
from FAT32, you can go to Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and uninstall
WinXP that way. It can be uninstalled and returned to Win98 and WinMe.

Microsoft just cost me $4,000. I just received my Compaq Presario laptop and the
Dell is on it's way. I have to have the Dos Mode option to use for my 16,000 name
genealogy database.

I'm also needing to revert from XP back to Me. I want to reformat the C drive but
my Win98 startup diskette CDROM driver doesn't work with my CDROM (although I swear
it used to before I moved to XP). Anyway, can I format the C drive simply from within
XP or will I blow my OS out of the water and not be able to install Me?
Thanks!

I have tried numerous ways/ suggestions. Nothing removes XP. Microsoft have got a
lot to answer for.
