XP and Sound Blaster Live Value

When I boot my computer, I do not get any sound from my rear speakers until I run
the little 4 speaker test utility provided for the sound card (the one where a voice
comes out of each spaker individually). As soon as the test initializes, the rear
speakers work and keep on working without any problems. I am running the new XP version
of the utility program. This problem started out of nowehere.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you gone into the Windows sound control (located in the Control Panel) and told
it you have 4 speakers?

SB Live! site has updates for it for the Audio HQ and for another section which I
forget. :( Also MS own Upgrade site has another upgrade for SB Live! so go there
too.

Yep, go to www.soundblaster.com for upgrades, AND MS Upgrade site as it also has
some upgrades. They work fine for me and I have Soundblaster 1024 Live! and the Creative
Labs surround speakers to go with it.
Good luck
