Question about 'Uninstalling Windows'

I have a question about Uninstalling
Windows:
Hi, I just installed Windows XP Professional. Previously I had Windows 95, and Windows
XP installed into one of the partions on my hard disk, so now I have BOTH Windows
95 and XP. How do I completely, and safely (without affecting Windows XP) get rid
of Windows 95, so the only operating system on my computer is WIndows XP? Thanks

Assuming you're getting a boot menu & only want to be able to boot to XP, you need
to edit the boot.ini file - Use the XP Recovery Console tool to update boot.ini.
Search for bootcfg in Help & Support.
You'll then need to delete the whole Win95 folder - & any files in the C:\ root that
don't have the R, S or H attributes.
If you're not getting a boot menu & only wanting to remove the old, non-working win95:
Delete the whole Win95 folder - & any files in the C:\ root that don't have the R,
S or H attributes.
Even then, almost all of your programs in the program files folder will need reinstalling
& a lot won't work with XP.
It really would be MUCH better to wipe the lot & install XP in a clean partition
(backup all data & any settings etc first).
